I recently discovered Frills In The Hills via Retromummy Corrie, and may have gone just a little crazy reading back on Liss’ recipe archives and picking out new things to try. My eldest son reacts strongly to colourings and certain preservatives, so it’s always exciting to find a blog detailing healthier living and treats for kids that don’t contain twenty different E-numbers. My first try was Liss’ apricot slice, mainly because I had almost all of the ingredients on hand. [...]

The weekend is almost here, so it’s time to get some baking done, sit down with a cuppa and pretend that these delicious looking cheesecake bars from Bakerella have the same calories as a stick of celery. A girl can dream, right?

Mr P. of awe inspiring food blog, Delicious Delicious Delicious posted these ridiculously cute spoons, inspired by Welsh Love Spoons, they are simply melted chocolate with cake decorating goodies arranged on top. I could see these going down fabulously at a party, or even as favours (or bonbonnieres where I’m from, but that just gets me crazy looks over here!) for a wedding – glam them up a bit by searching your local op-shops to find pretty spoons – my [...]

I don’t think a blog post has evolved as much as this one, it started off with a single link I was going to post on twitter, went to a full post with some Where The Wild Things Are crafts highlighted, and then I discovered all of the Wild Things inspired food that is floating around on the ineternet. Now I can throw together an awesome chili, and my carbonara is raved about, but I completely lack in any creativity [...]

My brain can’t even begin to compute this one… it’s a cake… on a lollipop stick… it’s a cake pop! Genius! These lovely creations were from Bakerella, who gives detailed instructions on how to make your own cake on a stick, with just a box mix of cake (or cheat and buy the premade cakes from the supermarket!), some frosting, some melting chocolate and an edible pen. If you struggle to find “yellow candy melts” then you can buy white [...]

Hi, I'm FernHi, I'm Fern and CraftBlog is my online home. I live in NSW with my husband and three sons, and spend every moment of my free time with my head buried in some form of creativity. In fact, I've never met a craft I didn't like, although I think I've tried a fair few that probably weren't too keen on me. Want to know more?
