About CraftBlog

CraftBlog.com.au is the Aussie hub of all that’s going on in the crafting world, no matter what your indulgence, you’re sure to find something about it here.

We hope to have a wide range of articles on CraftBlog, everything from beadwork to quilting, scrapbooking to needle felting, if you want to see a particular craft featured here then the best thing to do is get in touch and let us know, or even better, volunteer to be a contributor!

Are you interested in contributing?

CraftBlog is still a baby, we’re constantly looking for both occasional and regular contributors to make posts, find the best links and help the blog grow. As a contributor you can expect:

  • Exposure and a link back to your store, website or blog in each post you make.
  • International fame.
  • That warm cosy feeling as you help other crafty types :D

Regular contributors (three or more posts a month) will also get a link in the sidebar on the front page to their site or store. Please contact us if you would like to write for CraftBlog.

Suggestions for posts

  • Your own tutorials or patterns - teach the world through the medium of the interwebs!
  • Links to others tutorials, particularly if you’ve made it yourself so you can give your own spin on the idea!
  • Show off posts! Made something you’re particularly proud of? Tell everyone about it and boast a bit about how fab you are.
  • Links to news, competitions, anything that may be of interest to the crafting world.
  • Tips on monetising your craft - if you’re running a successful store, either online or off, we’d love to hear some advice to help others thinking of making money from their art.
  • Reviews of new (or old!) products - have you found the perfect paint and just have to share with the world? This is the place to do it!

  • Sharon of Handmaiden - a Singapore based Melbournian with a love of textiles, sewing, beading and cooking. She started sewing 2 years ago when she made her first quilt, all hand sewn, and then bought her first sewing machine 12 months ago and has not yet looked back. She always has a few projects on the go ranging from quilting and sashiko stitching to bags and jewellery making.
