Megan from The CraftyCPA created these funky coasters using tiles, paint chips and Mod Podge, she offers a full tutorial and tips, as well as a few things she would change if she were to make them up again! Megan mentioned how awesome they would look in a monochromatic range of chips, and she’s not kidding, I think they would be awesome in various shades of purple. See Megan’s full tutorial here.

I LOVE Rashida Coleman-Hale’s new fabric collection for timeless treasures “I Heart”, not only because it features Robots (up there with pirates in my fabric stash) but because it features robots AND flowers… in pink! My uterus is yearning for a sweet geeky girl to make up some awesome summer dresses with pink and orange robots on, so you can be guaranteed that I will be stashing some yardage! I’m also going to be picking up some of the blue [...]

My biggest boy is getting to the stage where I can’t really trace a pattern from his current pants, whack some elastic at the top and call it a day when I need a quick pair of pants. Jessica from How About Orange has created another awesome tutorial, this time how to create your own mini-boxes from paint chips. She offers a pattern for both the box and lid plus detailed instructions on how to put them together. They’re the perfect size for storing paper clips or pins, or even better using as cute little boxes – how great would they be as a ring box?! See the full how-to here.

Hi, I'm FernHi, I'm Fern and CraftBlog is my online home. I live in NSW with my husband and three sons, and spend every moment of my free time with my head buried in some form of creativity. In fact, I've never met a craft I didn't like, although I think I've tried a fair few that probably weren't too keen on me. Want to know more?
