We have a rental inspection tomorrow, so of course when the kids went down for their nap I got stuck into making the kitchen spotless and making my home sparkle so we don’t get booted out.

Free Motion

Not a chance! All my good intentions of cleaning went out the window and instead I sat down on my sewing machine for a bit of me time. One hour straight of free motioning with my darning foot and this is a sneak peek of the result. I’d forgotten how much I love just sitting down and going where my hands take me, free motion embroidery just feels so natural, I love quilting, I love crochet, but sometimes I just don’t want to think about a pattern or rules.

Just next time I sit down for that length of time, remind me to put some headphones on with some music, my ears are still ringing from hearing the motor in my sewing machine run for an hour solid.

I picked up the zip that I need to complete it, so I’ll post up the finished project tomorrow. I’m really excited to see how this sews up!

Hi, I'm FernHi, I'm Fern and CraftBlog is my online home. I live in NSW with my husband and three sons, and spend every moment of my free time with my head buried in some form of creativity. In fact, I've never met a craft I didn't like, although I think I've tried a fair few that probably weren't too keen on me. Want to know more?
