Five Twitter Inspired Etsy Finds
Tuesday, September 29, 2009 16:04Twitter seems to have infiltrated every single part of our lives, who’da thunk that we’d be working out how to condense each share-worthy (and some not so share-worthy!) moment of our life into 140 characters? No one could have imagined that the “Tw” prefix would be able to be applied to almost every word in the human vernacular, but somehow it did and we are a generation of Twits, or Twerps, or sometimes Twitterers.
Whatever we are, the fabulous crafty community that is Etsy has of course pulled through and given us what we wanted, Twitter crafts, so with that in mind, and after much searching of the Etsy universe, I give you my top five Twitter inspired finds.
Twitter Pillow from CraftSquatch – made from fleece and stuffed with polyfil, this is sure to look good on anyone’s sofa, let everyone know how much you love microblogging via your soft-furnishings!
Scrabble Tile Pendant from The Pendant Factory – We’re all huge on Twitter, and now you can you can say it with words… around your neck. This pendant is made with an actual scrabble tile with a glossy finish and a sterling silver bail.
Twitter Tights by Tattoo Socks – Twights! I am flat out in love with these. Twitter hosiery is possibly the best thing ever. Tattoo Socks also have a range of shades for those who don’t share my vampiric complexion.
Twitter Napkins by OneOfAKindNapkins – The font used here is fabulous, it brings up visions of posh dinner parties, with the ultra glamourous hostess dabbing the corners of her mouth to remove any traces of salmon mousse. Even if your version of fine dining is KFC, these paper napkins are sure to give a chuckle.
Follow Me Pendant by Punky Jane – Stamped silver always looks so wonderful, it’s such an excellent way of having a truly unique piece, personalise this piece with your own twitter username and you’re ready to go for the next “Tweet-up”, no need for those “Hello my name is…” stickers any longer when you have this around your neck.
